Shiv Parivar

Baba Balaknath Ji is mainly worshipped by the devotees of the Punjab region of Northern India. He is respected as a great ascetic and taught proper worship and devotion for Lord Shiva to his devotees.

According to prevailing tradition, Baba Balaknath Ji is accepted as the incarnation of Lord Skanda, Lord Shiva's eldest son. The depictions of Baba Balaknath in North India are similar to those of 'Murugan' (another name for Lord Skanda) in South India.
